Morgan Hunt raise the question of management education and corporate social responsibility

On June 24, 2009, Morgan Hunt together with BI TO BE Consulting Group ran an HR event in Saint-Petersburg.
The round table “Management Competencies Models as a Tool of the Russian Economy Modernization: Industry” took place in Saint-Petersburg State Museum of the History of Professional Education and gathered HR Directors of industrial companies in the North-West region.
Stephen Fordham, Director at Morgan Hunt (UK), visited Russia to speak at the event. Mr. Fordham shared about Morgan Hunt experience in terms of CSR with Saint-Petersburg HR professionals.
Julia Krizhevich, Director at Morgan Hunt in Saint-Petersburg, presented the results of Morgan Hunt survey “Theory and Practice of the Russian Education. View of Business” conducted by the company in May this year. The survey revealed what senior executives think of higher education and what competencies and skills they find critical for managers in modern business environment.
The event was hold in a form of World Café and with Natalia Borovikova, Regional Project Coordinator, “Staff Reserve – Professional Team of the Country”, Scientific Supervisor, BI TO BE Consulting Group, as a moderator. The participants discussed what competencies managers in industry need to be successful and make their companies grow. The results of the discussion will be put in an open letter to Saint-Petersburg Interregional Resource Centre, and afterwards will be passed to the deans of the leading Saint-Petersburg universities.
The round table was the first in a series of events on management competencies and one of the Morgan Hunt measures to raise corporate social responsibility and increase the level of education in Russia.
